Decorative license plate frames could soon be a thing of the past in North Carolina.
State lawmakers have approved a bill that bans anything that covers your license plate.
The goal is to make it easier for the police to identify drivers.
The measure now heads to the governor's desk. If signed, violators face a $100 fine.
